Who Are We?
Dev Jourknee is the process an individual takes from knowing little to nothing about code to becoming a Highly Paid Professional Software Engineer. This is the jourknee to a more rewarding lifestyle.
Being a father and a self-taught Software Engineer, Dave experienced firsthand the struggle of learning how to code while working, full time as a teacher for nearly a decade and part time as a food delivery driver to provide for his family. This is the same struggle for many hard working people and it can unfortunately, be defeating. Thus, Dev Jourknee was created to help those aspiring developers, who do not have the time or situation available to be able to attend a bootcamp or a university.
Our Mission is to make entry into the Tech Industry more accessible for people from all walks of life.
We believe that anyone can become a developer with the right attitude, consistency, desire to learn, willingness to ask questions, and with the proper guidance. Coding is tough, but not impossible. Mindset is the key, you got this!

Ol' (not-so) reliable is 2-4 years of studying who has time for this approach these days?! That's about 1-3 years of potential work experience that would have come with raises and or a job hop for higher pay. Not to mention the $100,000 price tag... sheesh!
Bootcamps can range from 3-12 months, these can be successful in having people break into the industry, if you don't mind drinking information from a 'firehose'. The mentors/assistants are very often 'senior' bootcamp students lacking any real enterprise work experience as a Professional Software Engineer. Also quit your job and cough up $15,000 - $20,000, don't have it? "It's okay we will take even more, once you get a job within the next two years. Sign this Income Shared Agreement."
